Membership guide

International yacht club membership, explained.

What the phrase actually means, how SplitClub differs from a traditional club or a charter broker, and every harbour the club sails into — with its real status.

SplitClub · September 1, 2026

SplitClub is a private, application-only members club built around curated yacht days. The club programmes the day end to end — the vessel, the route, the hours, the tone — and prices it via what SplitClub calls the Activity Contribution: a single, one-time contribution for the activity that takes place, split across a vetted group instead of carried by one person. One membership, one iOS app, and a calendar that travels with you between cities.

What "international yacht club membership" usually means

The phrase covers four fairly different products, and they are worth separating before comparing any of them to SplitClub.

All four share one blind spot. They solve access to a vessel. None of them solve who is standing on it with you — and on a yacht day, that is the variable that decides whether the day was worth the money.

The boat was never the hard part. The room was.

Samario Torres, Founder

How SplitClub is different

SplitClub treats the yacht day as the unit, not the yacht. The club curates the day and the group, prices the whole activity, then splits it across the members on board. What each member owes is their Activity Contribution — a single, one-time contribution for that one activity on that one date. You are not chartering a vessel and hoping to fill it, and you are not buying a membership tier. You are contributing to a day that has already been designed, alongside people who were reviewed before they got there.

Three consequences follow from that, and they are the whole argument for the model:

There is no initiation fee, no annual dues, no mooring, no subscription and no boat-ownership requirement. You make one Activity Contribution for each day you actually go on, and nothing else.

How the membership works, step by step

Formats repeat, so members learn the shape of a day before booking it — a morning social, a midday social, a sunset social, a creators' content day, a wellness morning. Each is covered in detail in the guide to SplitClub events.

Every SplitClub city, and where each one stands

Read this before the list

Miami is the club's live city. A member can open the app today, browse curated days, claim a seat and split the cost. Cannes and Saint-Tropez have a browsable partner charter fleet with direct inquiry, ahead of club events opening there. For the remaining eight harbours, SplitClub is recruiting operators and finalizing contracts. We publish the status of each city plainly rather than listing eleven flags and letting you assume.

Miami, Florida Open now

United States · Home port

Curated yacht days off Biscayne Bay, split across the club.

The club's first and only fully live market. Members browse a programmed calendar of curated days — morning and midday socials, the flagship sunset social, creators' content days and wellness mornings — claim seats individually, and split each day across a vetted group. Miami is where the model was built and where the club intends to be the best club in the city before being a thin presence in six.

On the water: Biscayne Bay · Miami Beach · Key Biscayne · Haulover sandbar

Saint-Tropez Fleet browsable

France · Côte d'Azur

Yacht days off Pampelonne, split across the club.

Saint-Tropez starts on the water — a yacht day along Pampelonne with lunch at anchor, then Club 55 and Les Caves du Roy, and the Byblos to land. Members can already browse the Riviera charter fleet and send an inquiry directly; the full-day destination tier is priced for the Saint-Tropez run. Curated club events open once the operator contract is signed.

The package: Pampelonne Yacht Day & Club 55 · Les Caves du Roy · Nikki Beach Saint-Tropez · Hôtel Byblos · La Réserve Ramatuelle · Bagatelle

Cannes Fleet browsable

France · Côte d'Azur

Îles de Lérins yacht days, split across the club.

Cannes on the water — a yacht day out to the Îles de Lérins and lunch at La Guérite, then Medusa and Zuma on the Croisette, the Martinez or the Carlton to stay. Cannes shares the Riviera fleet with Saint-Tropez, so members can browse boats, filter by budget, party size and duration, and inquire today. Club events follow the operator contract.

The package: Îles de Lérins Yacht Day & La Guérite · Medusa Beach Club · La Môme Plage · Nikki Beach Cannes · Zuma · Baôli · Casino Barrière Le Croisette · Hôtel Martinez · Carlton Cannes

Amalfi Coast Operator contracts in progress

Italy · Positano · Capri · Amalfi

Positano, Capri and Amalfi — island-hop the coast.

The Amalfi Coast is a yacht itinerary before it is a destination: hop from Positano to Capri, swim off the Faraglioni, lunch at La Fontelina, dinner at La Sponda. The club treats the whole coast as one region rather than three separate cities, because that is how the day actually runs.

The package: Capri Island-Hop Yacht Day · Le Sirenuse — La Sponda · Da Adolfo · Lo Scoglio · Il Riccio · Da Paolino · La Fontelina · Le Sirenuse · JK Place Capri

Ibiza Operator contracts in progress

Spain · Balearic Islands

Formentera yacht days, split across the club.

Ibiza is a boat day to Formentera first — the clearest water in the Med, lunch off the sand — then O Beach and Blue Marlin, Pacha and Hï for the night, Nobu Bay to land. One of the harbours where a split-cost day makes the most obvious sense: the boat is the only way to reach the good part of the island, and it is priced for a full deck.

The package: Formentera Yacht Day · O Beach Ibiza · Blue Marlin · Pacha · Hï Ibiza · Ushuaïa · Lío · Nobu Ibiza Bay

Mallorca Operator contracts in progress

Spain · Balearic Islands

Cala-hopping yacht days, split across the club.

Mallorca is best seen from the water — a yacht day hopping the calas of the west coast, lunch at anchor below the cliffs, then Purobeach and Gatsby, a suite at Cap Rocat to land.

The package: Cala-Hopping Yacht Day · Purobeach Palma · Nikki Beach Mallorca · Gatsby Palma · Zaranda · Cap Rocat

Mykonos Operator contracts in progress

Greece · Cyclades

Delos and Rhenia yacht days, split across the club.

Mykonos on the water — a yacht day out to Delos and the beaches of Rhenia, then a Scorpios table at sunset, Nammos for lunch, Cavo Tagoo for the view. The boat and the beach clubs packaged as one day rather than five separate reservations.

The package: Scorpios Table & Yacht Day · Nammos · SantAnna · Principote · Bonbonniere · Cavo Tagoo

Monaco Operator contracts in progress

Monaco · Principality

Cap-Ferrat yacht days, split across the club.

Monaco on the water — a yacht day along Cap-Ferrat and into the coves, then Nikki Beach and Monte-Carlo Beach, a table at Twiga, Jimmy'z for the night, the Hôtel de Paris to stay.

The package: Cap-Ferrat Yacht Day · Nikki Beach Monte-Carlo · Monte-Carlo Beach · Twiga · Jimmy'z · Amber Lounge · Hôtel de Paris

Dubai Operator contracts in progress

United Arab Emirates · Targeted to open December 2026

FIVE Palm yacht days, split across the club.

Dubai on the water — dock at FIVE Palm Jumeirah for a yacht day off the Palm, then Cové and Zero Gravity, Ce La Vi above the skyline, WHITE for the night, Atlantis The Royal to stay. Dubai is the club's stated next opening, targeted for December 2026, and the only harbour with a date attached.

The package: FIVE Palm Jumeirah Dock & Yacht Day · Cové Beach · Zero Gravity · Nikki Beach Dubai · Ce La Vi · WHITE Dubai · Atlantis The Royal

Rio de Janeiro Operator contracts in progress

Brazil

Guanabara Bay and the Cagarras, split across the club.

Rio is in the club's city list and in the app's switcher, with operator recruitment under way. The itinerary and venue package are still being built with local operators rather than assembled from a distance.

Sydney Operator contracts in progress

Australia · New South Wales

Sydney Harbour days, split across the club.

Sydney is the club's Southern Hemisphere harbour and its counter-seasonal one — a summer calendar running while the Med is shut. Operator recruitment is under way; the itinerary is being built with local operators.

We are hiring operators

SplitClub is a software company as much as a club, and expansion is gated on operators rather than on demand. The club is actively hiring yacht operators, charter companies and captains in every city above, and is currently in the process of finalizing operator contracts in the following markets:

What the club brings an operator is the part that is hardest to fix from inside a charter business: a vetted, pre-qualified group of members who arrive as a full deck, on days the club programmes and funds before anyone leaves the dock. Unfilled capacity is the single largest loss in this industry, and closing that gap is the software problem SplitClub was built to solve.

Operators, brokers and captains who want to work with the club can write to operators@splitclubapp.com.

Frequently asked questions

What is an international yacht club membership?

One membership that gives you access to yachting in more than one country, rather than to a single clubhouse and its home marina. Traditional clubs deliver this through reciprocal agreements, which grant visiting privileges abroad but not a boat and not a day out. SplitClub instead runs one membership and one app, with curated yacht days programmed by the club in each city it operates in, and the cost of each day split across the members who claim seats on it.

Which cities is SplitClub live in right now?

Miami, Florida. Members in Miami can browse curated days, claim a seat and split the cost in the app today. Cannes and Saint-Tropez have a browsable partner charter fleet with direct inquiry. Operator contracts are being finalized for the Amalfi Coast, Ibiza, Mallorca, Mykonos, Monaco, Dubai, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney.

How much does a SplitClub yacht day cost?

Each experience carries a single one-time Activity Contribution rather than a charter fee or a membership due. Indicative Miami figures run from about $250 for a four-hour Morning Birds Social to about $500 for the four-hour Sunset Social. Some activities are set separately for men and women — island hopping in Cannes on a Saturday in June 2027 is €250 for men and €100 for women. There is no charter to underwrite and no deposit to front: the day only proceeds once it is fully funded.

Do I need to own a boat, or pay dues?

Neither. There is no boat-ownership requirement, no mooring, no initiation fee, no subscription and no annual dues. Membership is by application, and you make one Activity Contribution per day you go on.

How does splitting the cost actually work?

The club prices a curated day as one activity and splits it across the members on board; each member's share is their Activity Contribution. Funds are held through Stripe until the day is fully subscribed; a day that does not fill does not sail, and contributions are not charged through. Nobody fronts the boat and waits to be paid back.

Is SplitClub open to anyone?

No. SplitClub is application-only in every city, and every application is reviewed individually. The club's position is that the guest list is the product, so vetting is deliberately the gate rather than price.

How do I join?

Download the SplitClub app on iOS and complete the membership application inside it, or write to memberships@splitclubapp.com. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and approved members get access to the curated calendar in their city.

Is SplitClub hiring operators?

Yes — in all ten cities outside Miami. Operators, charter companies and captains can reach the club at operators@splitclubapp.com.
