The whole model, in one line of arithmetic
One boat ÷ 12 places = a twelfth each.
The operator is paid the same either way. What changes is that nobody has to hire a boat alone and then chase eleven friends for the money. That is the entire idea, and it is why the club exists in Miami first: this city has the boats and the people, and almost no good way to put them together.
How a Miami yacht day works
- The club builds the day. A specific boat on a specific date, with the route, the hours, the crew, the food and the venue it lands at already decided. Nothing here is user-generated, and SplitClub is not a listing site or a broker.
- You claim one place. A single Activity Contribution for that one day — not a share of a boat, not a membership tier, not a subscription.
- It only sails if it fills. Contributions are held until the day is fully funded. A day that does not fill does not sail, and nobody is charged.
- Everyone aboard is vetted. Application-only, and every application is reviewed by hand. You know who you are getting on a boat with, which is most of the point.
- The chat opens when the deck is full. A private group chat opens automatically for the members on that day, so the group is already talking before the dock.
The formats, and what they cost in Miami
The formats the club runs. Each day's activity contribution moves with the boat, the date and the season, and it's on the day's card in the app before you confirm.
| Sunset Social | 4 hours · from 5pm · 10 places The flagship. Out for golden hour, back after dark. |
|---|---|
| Midday Social | 5 hours · from noon · 12 places The long afternoon — swim stop, lunch at anchor. |
| Morning Birds | 4 hours · from 9am · 12 places Flat water, and nobody else on it yet. |
| Content Day | 5 hours · from 4pm · 12 places · women only Routed for the light rather than for lunch. |
| Pilates & Prosecco | 4 hours · from 9am · 10 places · women only Mats on the foredeck, then the rest of the morning. |
| Yacht Day & Beach Club | Full day into evening · 10–12 places The water, then ashore with the beds already held in the club's name. |
Where the days go
Biscayne Bay is the home water. Days route past Miami Beach and Key Biscayne, anchor for a swim at the Haulover sandbar, and — on the full-day formats — come ashore at a restaurant or beach club with the table already held in the club's name. Music is programmed per day rather than left to whoever grabs the aux: house and afro house through golden hour, Latin and reggaeton on the evening runs. Every genre the club programs has its own room in the calendar.
Miami is the first city, not the only one
Miami is where the club sails today. Cannes, Saint-Tropez, the Amalfi Coast, Ibiza, Mallorca, Portofino, Mykonos, Monaco, Dubai, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney are where we're looking next. When another harbor sails, the same membership will cover it, so the club you join in Miami is the club you'd walk into in Saint-Tropez.
Questions
Is Split Club Miami the same as SplitClub Miami?
Yes. The club is written as one word — SplitClub — but it is commonly written as two: Split Club, Split Club Miami, split club miami. On Instagram it is @splitclub.miami. Every spelling refers to the same club, at splitclubapp.com, and to the same SplitClub app on the App Store.
How much does a SplitClub yacht day cost in Miami?
Each day has a single one-time activity contribution for that one date, shown in the app before you confirm. There is no initiation fee, no annual dues, no subscription and no requirement to own a boat.
Do I have to hire the whole boat?
No. The club arranges the vessel; you claim one place on it. SplitClub isn't a broker or a marketplace. The club builds the day, and the cost of the boat is split across the deck.
What happens if a day does not fill?
It does not sail, and nobody is charged. Contributions are held until the day is fully funded before anyone leaves the dock.
How do I join SplitClub in Miami?
Apply (every application is reviewed by hand) and download the SplitClub app on iOS. Once you are approved, every day the club runs in Miami is a place you can claim.
Do you work with Miami charter companies and captains?
Yes — the club contracts operators directly, and brings a vetted group arriving as a full deck on days the club programs and funds in advance. Charter businesses, captains, restaurants and beach clubs start at splitclubapp.com/operators or business@splitclubapp.com.
