A SplitClub event is a curated experience that members join by making a single Activity Contribution — a yacht day, a beach club table, or the two run together as one day. The club chooses the boat, the route, the venue, the start time and the tone, then prices the day as one activity and splits it across the members on board. Nobody charters a vessel, nobody fronts a deposit, and nobody assembles a guest list — the club has already done all three.
Formats repeat on purpose. A member who has done one Sunset Social knows exactly what a Sunset Social is in any city, on any date, on any boat. That predictability is what makes a day worth joining without a phone call first.
SplitClub does not charge dues, an initiation fee or a subscription. Every experience is priced by what the club calls the Activity Contribution — a single, one-time contribution for the activity that takes place. One activity, one contribution, one date. You contribute for the day you are actually going on, and nothing else.
The figure is set per activity, and some activities are set separately for men and women. Island hopping in Cannes on a Saturday in June 2027, for example, carries an Activity Contribution of €250 for men and €100 for women. The Miami figures below follow the same model.
Every format at a glance
| Format | Runs | Seats | Open to | Contribution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Morning Birds Social | 4 hours, from 9am | 12 | All members | from ~$250 |
| Midday Social | 5 hours, from noon | 12 | All members | from ~$350 |
| Sunset Social | 4 hours, from 5pm | 10 | All members | from ~$500 |
| Content Day | 5 hours, from 4pm | 12 | Women only | from ~$300 |
| Pilates & Prosecco | 4 hours, from 9am | 10 | Women only | from ~$275 |
| Yacht Day & Beach Club | Full day into evening | 10–12 | All members | Set per experience |
| Beach Club Table | Afternoon into evening | Three large beds | All members | Set per experience |
Figures are indicative Miami Activity Contributions for the standard vessel in each format. The real number moves with the boat, the date, the activity and the city — Mediterranean harbours contribute meaningfully higher than Biscayne Bay, and some activities are set separately for men and women. The live figure is always the one shown on the day's card in the app.
The formats, in detail
Morning Birds Social — the easy way in
An early start on flat water: coffee, breakfast, and four hours before the bay gets busy. This is the club's most forgiving format and the one most new members do first. There is no pressure to perform at 9am, the water is at its calmest, and conversation is the point rather than volume. Twelve seats, open to all members.
Midday Social — peak sun, swim stop, lunch
The high-energy daytime day. Five hours through the middle of the day, an anchored swim stop, and lunch served on the water. It is the format with the most movement in it — people are in and out of the water, the boat repositions, and the group mixes properly rather than settling into one conversation. Twelve seats, open to all members.
Sunset Social — the flagship
Golden hour, drinks, and the best light on the water. Four hours from late afternoon into dusk, and the format the club is built around. It runs ten seats rather than twelve deliberately: at sunset the deck is the room, and ten is the number where one group stays one group. This is the most expensive seat in the calendar and the one that fills first.
Content Day — for the creators, women only
A golden-hour yacht day designed around the fact that people are going to shoot on it. Props, the right light, five hours of it, and a group that understands why someone is taking twenty minutes at the bow. Everyone leaves with a feed. Twelve seats, women only.
Pilates & Prosecco — wellness on deck, women only
Movement on deck at 9am, green juice, and prosecco after. Four hours, ten seats, women only. The counterweight to the party formats and, along with Morning Birds, one of the two days where the club is genuinely about who you meet rather than what you drank.
Yacht Day & Beach Club — the water and the shore as one day
The combination format, and the one the club is building most of its Mediterranean calendar around. The day runs on the water first — the yacht day, the route, the swim stop — and then lands at a beach club for the afternoon and evening, with the beds or the table already held in the club's name. One experience, one Activity Contribution, no second booking to chase and no arriving at a full club at 4pm hoping to talk your way onto a bed.
It exists because the two halves are usually sold by different people and bought separately, which is exactly how a good day falls apart. A boat with nowhere to land is a half day. A beach club bed with no way to arrive is a taxi and a queue. Held together, the day runs from morning to night without anyone in the group organizing anything.
Beach Club Table — the shore format on its own
Not every experience needs a boat. In the beach-club destinations the table is the activity, and it is priced the same way everything else in the club is: the club takes the booking, and members split it.
A typical Beach Club Table is three large beds, around €3,000, held under the club's name at a named venue. Members join by making the Activity Contribution for that experience rather than by splitting a bill at the end of the night — which means no one is fronting a minimum spend, no one is chasing the group afterwards, and the group that arrives has been reviewed.
The card always carries the venue's name. A Beach Club Table experience is not "a beach club" — it is Nikki Beach Cannes, or O Beach Ibiza, or Nammos Mykonos, named on the card before you contribute, so you know exactly where you are going and who you are going with. The venues the club builds these around are mapped in SplitClub Experiences.
Every experience is hand-picked by the club. No listings, no guesswork.

Seasonal and holiday days
On top of the recurring formats, the club programmes days against the calendar — the holiday weekends when the water is the only place worth being, and the dates where Miami's own scene sets the tone. These are one-off in date but built from the same parts: a curated boat, a fixed number of seats, a split cost and a reviewed group. They are announced in the app and, when they are significant, in the newsroom.
Seasonal days tend to run larger vessels and higher Activity Contributions than the standard calendar, because the boats that are worth having on a holiday weekend are priced accordingly and book months out.
Member-hosted days
Members can propose and host their own day — but hosting is earned rather than granted. It unlocks in the app only after a member has completed their first curated club experience. The reasoning is simple: anyone proposing a day to the club should have already been on one, and seen the standard the club runs to. A member-hosted day still goes out on the club's rails — curated seats, split cost, funded before it sails.
How a day funds before it sails
This is the mechanic that makes the rest of it work, and it is worth stating precisely.
- The day is priced as one activity, then split. The club prices the vessel, crew and hours as a single number for the activity, then splits it across the members on board. What each member owes is their Activity Contribution.
- One contribution, one activity, one date. It is a single one-time contribution toward the specific activity that takes place — not a deposit, not a due, not a subscription, and not a share of a boat.
- Funds are held, not spent. Payment runs through Stripe and is held until the day is fully funded.
- If it does not fill, it does not sail. Contributions are not charged through on a day that never reaches capacity. No member is ever left underwriting a boat and chasing the group.
The commercial logic underneath is the one the whole company was built on: a twelve-seat boat that leaves the dock with five people aboard is capacity nobody ever recovers. Matching a curated day to a vetted group, and only releasing the funds once the deck is full, is what turns that waste into something both the member and the operator want. The full argument is in the founder's account of why the club exists.
Where the events run
Curated club events are live in Miami. Cannes and Saint-Tropez have a browsable partner charter fleet with direct inquiry ahead of events opening there. SplitClub is finalizing operator contracts for the Amalfi Coast, Ibiza, Mallorca, Mykonos, Monaco, Dubai, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney — the full city-by-city status is in the international membership guide.
The formats are designed to travel. A Sunset Social off Pampelonne, a Midday Social hopping the calas of Mallorca, a Content Day out to Delos — the shape of the day holds, and only the water changes. That portability is the reason the club programmes formats instead of listings — and why the Activity Contribution travels with them.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of events does SplitClub run?
Curated experiences in recurring formats rather than one-off charters. On the water: the Morning Birds Social, the Midday Social, the Sunset Social, the Content Day and Pilates & Prosecco. On the shore: the Yacht Day & Beach Club combination, and the Beach Club Table — typically three large beds at around €3,000 at a named venue, split across the members who join. The club also programmes seasonal and holiday days, and members who have completed a club day can propose their own.
How many people are on a SplitClub yacht day?
Between 10 and 12 members. The Sunset Social and Pilates & Prosecco run 10 seats; Morning Birds, Midday and the Content Day run 12. Seats are capped at the boat's comfortable capacity rather than its legal maximum, because group size is part of what the club is curating.
How much does a SplitClub yacht day cost?
Each experience carries a single one-time Activity Contribution. Indicative Miami figures: about $250 for Morning Birds, $275 for Pilates & Prosecco, $300 for the Content Day, $350 for the Midday Social, and $500 for the Sunset Social. The figure moves with the vessel, the date, the activity and the city — and some activities are set separately for men and women. Island hopping in Cannes on a Saturday in June 2027, for instance, is €250 for men and €100 for women.
What happens if a day does not fill?
It does not sail, and Activity Contributions are not charged through. Funds are held through Stripe until the day is fully funded.
Are there women-only yacht days?
Yes — the Content Day and Pilates & Prosecco are both women-only formats. The club's other formats are open to all members.
Can members host their own day?
Yes, once they have completed their first curated club experience. Hosting unlocks in the app at that point.
Do I need to be a member to attend?
Yes. SplitClub is application-only, and every application is reviewed. Apply in the iOS app, or write to memberships@splitclubapp.com.
