Privacy Policy

Effective 1 October 2026

S7 Managed Reserves Fund ("we", "us", "our") operates the SplitClub members club, the SplitClub mobile application, and splitclubapp.com. This policy describes what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. Information we collect

Your application. SplitClub is application-only. When you apply — in the app or at splitclubapp.com/apply — we collect your name, email address, mobile number, age, gender, city, and your Instagram handle. Depending on where you apply we may also collect your profession or industry, what you're looking for from the club, your interests, and how you heard about us, including the name of any member who referred you.

Instagram. Instagram is how we recognize applicants, so a handle is required. We look up the public profile behind the handle you give us and store what it returns — display name, follower count, verification status, and the profile photo — so an application can be reviewed. We do not post as you, read your private content, or ask for your Instagram password.

Review. Every membership application is reviewed by a person. We don't ask members for an ID or a selfie. We may ask you for a short introduction video; we keep it privately and use it only to review your application.

Operators. If you apply to captain or provide a boat for the club, we ask for a photo of your government-issued ID and your boating card. We store them privately and use them only to confirm who you are and that you're qualified to operate.

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, mobile number and profile photo. You may sign in with Apple, in which case Apple gives us a user identifier and — only if you choose — your name and email.

Location. With your permission we collect your approximate location to show experiences near you. You can revoke it at any time in your device settings.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. Stripe collects card details, billing address and transaction history under its own privacy policy.

Contacts. If you choose to send someone a link to the club, we may ask for access to your contacts. Contact data is used only to send that link and is not stored on our servers.

Messages. The app includes messaging. Message content is stored on our servers so it can be delivered to the other people in your conversation or on your experience.

Device and connection data. When you submit the web application form we record technical details of the request: your browser and device type, language, time zone, screen size, and the approximate city, region and country your network address resolves to. We use this to detect automated and fraudulent submissions. We do not store your IP address — it is converted into a one-way fingerprint that lets us tell whether two applications came from the same connection, and cannot be turned back into an address.

Usage data. We collect analytics about how the app is used — screens viewed, features used — and crash reports.

Website analytics. On splitclubapp.com we count page views and record the referring site, the country, and the browser and device type, so we know which pages people arrive on. This sets no cookies and follows you to no other site.

Visits to the application page. When you open splitclubapp.com/apply we record the visit: the app or site you arrived from, any campaign tag on the link, your browser and device, your screen size and language, and the approximate city and country your connection resolves to. Two things are worth being plain about. The visit is tagged with a random id held only for that browsing session — it is not a cookie, it is erased when you close the tab, and it does not identify you or follow you between visits. And if you go on to submit the form, that visit is marked as having converted and linked to your application, which is how we measure whether the page works. As everywhere else, your network address is stored only as a one-way hash, never as an address.

2. How we use your information

3. What other members can see

SplitClub is a club, so some of your information is visible to other members. Your first name and last initial, your profile photo, your city and your Instagram handle can be seen by other approved members and by people on an experience you join. Your email address, mobile number, date of birth, identity documents and payment details are never shown to other members.

You can remove yourself from the member directory at any time in your profile settings. Doing so does not hide you from people on an experience you have joined together.

4. Third-party services

Each service handles data under its own privacy policy.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the club — for example, sharing your name and photo with the other members on an experience you join, or passing payment details to Stripe — or where we are required to by law.

6. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Applications that are not approved are kept so we can recognize a re-application and avoid asking you for the same information twice. You can ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it using the contact address below.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Operators' identity documents and boating cards, and members' introduction videos, are held in private storage that is not publicly reachable. No system is completely secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects your data.

8. Age

SplitClub is for adults 18 and over. Some events are 21+. Those events say so on the listing, and you'll show ID at the dock. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and an application that states an age under 18 is refused.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for location, contacts or notifications at any time in your device settings. To exercise any of these, contact us below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If a change materially affects how we handle your information we will tell you in the app or by email, and update the effective date above.
