Pick something you'd do anyway, and do it with the same people every week. Run clubs, sports leagues, dance classes and activity clubs all work, because seeing the same faces is what turns strangers into friends. SplitClub is a private members club in Miami with 24 clubs inside it, from swimming to padel to rooftops. You apply once, and you can join activities in any of them.
What actually works
Go back. One great night out doesn't make friends. The second and third time you see someone does. Choose something that repeats.
Do something, don't just stand somewhere. A mixer asks you to make conversation from nothing. A swim, a run or a game of padel gives you something to talk about before you've said a word.
Say yes to the after. The real conversations happen at the dinner after the run, or the drink after the class. Leave room for it.
Pick one thing near you. Brickell, Wynwood, Coconut Grove, Miami Beach: Miami is spread out, and a plan that's twenty minutes away is a plan you'll keep.
Bring one person, or don't. Going alone is normal in a club. Everyone there joined to meet people.
Clubs to join, by what you like doing
Every club below is part of SplitClub. Members apply once and can join activities in any club. Once you're accepted, each club's days are posted to you in the SplitClub app.
In the water
- The Swim Club: Go for a swim, or just float. A social swim club for floaters and lap swimmers.
- The Wake & Foil Club: Wake surf, try a foil, or just ride. SplitClub brings the boat, the boards and the logistics.
- The Book Club Women only: One book. One boat. A women's book club that meets on the water.
- The Afro House Club: Afro house, out on the bay. Listen, swim, and learn where the sound came from.
Moving
- The Run Club: Run together. Talk the whole way. Runners of every pace.
- The Padel Club: Find your four. For anyone who loves padel, or wants a reason to start.
- The Golf Club: Rounds, ranges and the nineteenth hole, for golfers of every handicap.
- The Yoga Club: Flow together, then breakfast with the people on the mats next to yours.
- The Pilates Club 21+: Pilates first. Then prosecco, with the people from class.
- The Wellness Club: Breathwork, cold plunges and slow mornings.
- The Salsa Club: For anyone who'd rather be dancing, from first steps to years on the floor.
Going out
- The SC Table Club 21+: Share the table. Have fun. Members split tables at Miami's clubs and meet the people they share them with.
- The Rooftop Club: Sunset drinks, a few floors up. A weeknight out without a late night.
- The Brunch Club: Sunday brunch that turns into a party, with locals and people in town for the weekend.
- The Wine Club 21+: Tastings and long dinners. You don't need to know wine.
- The Cigars & Cognac Club 21+: Cigars, cognac and a slow evening, for people who'd rather sit than dance.
- The Casino Club 21+: Cards, chips and good company.
- The Latin Club: Reggaeton, Latin house and salsa, for people who can't sit still once the music starts.
- The Progressive House Club: Music that takes its time. For people who'd rather hear a set build than skip to the drop.
- The Country Club: Country music, out on the water. For people who'd rather two-step than wait in line.
People in your line of work
- The Founders Club: Builders meeting builders. No pitches.
- The Finance Club: The market's closed. The bay isn't. Miami's finance people, off the clock.
- The Tech Club: Miami's AI builders. Your agents are running. You're on the bay.
Just meeting people
- The Social Club: Meet someone new. See where it goes.

How SplitClub works
SplitClub is a members club in Miami. It started with yacht days, where members split the cost of the day instead of one person hiring the boat, and it now has 24 clubs.
- Apply here or in the SplitClub app. Three questions: your first name, your phone number and your Instagram. Apply on your own or with up to five friends.
- Get accepted. There's one stage: you're accepted or you aren't. Once you are, you're a SplitClub member.
- Join an activity, in any club. Confirm participation and the activity's group chat opens, so you know who's coming before you get there.
There's no initiation fee and no annual dues. Each activity has a single activity contribution, shown in the app before you confirm.
SplitClub is for adults 18 and over. Some events are 21+ and say so on the listing.

No. Most people join to meet people. You can apply on your own, or with up to five friends.
