Company announcement

SplitClub launches in Miami and opens membership applications.

Miami, Florida · August 4, 2026

SplitClub, a private members club built around curated yacht days, is now live in Miami. The club's iOS app is available on the App Store, and membership applications are open.

SplitClub is application-only. Rather than renting boats to whoever books first, the club curates each day end to end — the vessel, the route, the hours, the tone — and reviews every member who steps aboard. Members claim individual seats on a curated day and split its cost across the group, instead of one person carrying the charter and assembling a crowd.

The club is opening with a Miami season of recurring formats: yacht socials, sunset sets, and ladies' days. Each is programmed by the club rather than listed by an owner or broker.

Why now

Miami has no shortage of boats, and no shortage of extraordinary days to be had on them. What it lacks is a reliable way into one. Chartering is priced for a full deck, which pushes whoever organizes into filling seats with whoever is available — and the day becomes a function of the group chat rather than the plan.

SplitClub was founded in 2026 on the view that this is a network problem rather than a logistics problem. The club's position is that the guest list is the product. Splitting the cost is what makes a curated day reachable; vetting the group is what makes it worth attending.

From the founder

The boat was never the hard part. The room was.

Samario Torres, Founder

Torres founded SplitClub in 2026 and runs it as a one-person company. He describes the club's origin as a gap he kept running into personally:

I kept seeing remarkable events across this city, and I kept seeing how well they would combine if someone bothered to put them together properly. That was never the constraint. The constraint was the network — finding people who know how to have a genuinely good time and know how to do serious business. Most rooms give you one or the other. The rooms that give you both are rare enough to build a company around.

Samario Torres, Founder

That balance is the standard the club is curating against, and Torres frames it as a personal one before a commercial one.

I intend to live with as much fun as I can while becoming a better person every day. I have never believed those two things are in tension. SplitClub is built for people who feel the same way, and I built it because I wanted somewhere to put them.

Samario Torres, Founder

Applications are open

Membership is by application only, and the club is reviewing applications on a rolling basis as it builds out its opening Miami roster. Prospective members apply directly in the SplitClub iOS app.

What comes next

SplitClub intends to stay Miami-only through its first season, deepening its calendar and membership before expanding. Mykonos, Ibiza, St-Tropez, Portofino, and Cannes are the harbours the club plans to open next.
