The Screen Shop began its road to success in 1945 as a dream of its founder Joe Salamida, a San Jose native. Joe probably had no idea of what was to happen to his Screen Shop when he started making wood window screens in the basement of a neighbor’s home. Since this humble beginning 77 years ago, The Screen Shop has become San Jose’s oldest home improvement dealer specializing in replacement windows, screens and patio glass door products.
