Art academy in Sunny Isles Beach
Sofia Art Academy of Miami: classical ateliertraining since 1993
Sofia Art Academy was founded in 1993 in Dallas by Dr. Sofia Khunteyev, a Moscow-trained artist, and her son Igor Khunteyev, MFA. It opened a Miami branch in Sunny Isles Beach in 2012. The academy teaches a classical European atelier method: students progress through cast drawing, cast painting, still life and live model study across four levels, advancing only with instructor approval. Adult classes cover drawing, painting, anime and manga, and portfolio preparation.
